Abstract

Research focuses on the analysis of economic specialization of the municipality of Zapopan Jalisco, for the years 1999 and 2009, based on the resources and capacities of economic strategy to find sources, to increase potential benefits and competitive advantages of the municipality. The study method is based on a theoretical analysis. Proposed results focus on the location coefficient (LQ *) to check the basic jobs in municipal economic activities. The subject is given a qualitative approach; since the data will be obtained from the economic census (INEGI) during the period 1999 and 2014.

Ph. D. (Public Administration) from Columbia University and Ph.D. (Organizational Economics) from Keele University.

University of Guadalajara, Zapopan, Jalisco, México.

He is a member of National System of Researchers of Mexico and a research professor at University Center for Economic and Managerial Sciences, University of Guadalajara, Mexico. Area of his scientific interests includes organizational economics, strategic management and global marketing. He participated in more than 200 international academic events and in more than 500 national events; published 4 books and more than 200 papers in international journals and reviews (some translated to English, French, German, Portuguese, Farsi, Chinese, etc.) and more than 300 essays in national journals and reviews.
